When you book the tour, you indicate which places you would like to go. We can go to:
- Lamin Rice Field
- Abuko Nature Reserve with a lunch break at Lamin Lodge
- Various bird hides where you can take beautiful pictures of different bird species, especially the smaller species
There are a good number of birds sighted at Lamin Rice Field and Abuko Nature Reserve. For example: Turacos, Bluebills, Brown Throated Wattle Eyes, Kingfishers, etc. We can also visit Brufut and Tanjea where many birds are sighted. For example: Varreaus Eagle Owls, Long Tailed Night Jars, Yellow Throated Leafloves, etc.
Visiting Kartong is also a good option. Kartong is a good area to spot the Goliath Herons, Long Created Eagles, Barbets, Senegal Batis, Kingfishers, etc.
An afternoon visit to the famous fish market in Tanjii is also possible.
It is also possible to visit Gunjur Konoto Forest (where I have my own photo hide). Gunjur Konoto Forest is a good place for the Capucin Bablers and the only known place in the country to see these birds. It’s also a good area to spot the Western Bluebills, Green Hyliotas, Pygmy Kingfishers, etc.
